The student cafeteria on the Hokkaido University campus is open to the general public as well. You choose whatever you like from the dishes lined up along the counter and place them on your tray, which for a child becomes a small adventure in assembling a meal for themselves. There are many seats, so families can find somewhere to sit without much trouble. Prices are reasonable, which lowers the hurdle of eating out. When you have finished, walk to the subway station and head for Asabu.

麻生公園修景水路は、札幌市北区の麻生公園にある無料の水遊び場です。2026年は7月5日(日)から8月23日(日)まで、9:00〜16:00に開放されます。浅い修景水路なので水深を心配せずに済み、歩き始めたばかりの子でも足をひたすところから遊べます。細長く伸びる水路に沿って歩きながら遊べるのは、プールにはない楽しみ方です。地下鉄麻生駅とJRの駅の両方から歩ける立地なので、車がなくても出かけやすいのが大きな利点になります。近所の子どもたちが集まる規模なので、行列や待ち時間がなく自分たちのペースで過ごせます。

Tips

気象状況により期間や開放が変動することがあるため、出発前に当日の状況を確認してください。足元を切らないよう水遊び用サンダルを履かせましょう。着替えの場所は限られるので、上から羽織れるタオルやポンチョがあると便利です。街なかの公園なので、周辺では静かに過ごすよう声をかけておきましょう。16:00に終了するため、15時半には片づけを始めると余裕をもって帰れます。
