This orchard spreads out at the foot of Hakkenzan (八剣山) in Toyama, Minami Ward. Time spent looking up at Hakkenzan, with its striking jagged rocky ridge, has an openness that is hard to believe lies within the same city of Sapporo. Picking and eating seasonal fruit with your own hands is a precious chance for children to understand with their whole body how it differs from fruit bought at a supermarket. As it is mainly outdoors, the breeze passes through and the mountain air feels pleasant even in summer. The surrounding area is a peaceful stretch dotted with orchards and wineries, so the journey itself can be enjoyed as a drive.

札幌市南区の藤野みどり公園にある「藤野みどり公園水遊び場」は、無料で利用できる浅い水遊び場です。2026年の開設期間は7月10日(金)から8月25日(火)まで、時間は10:00〜16:00となっています。水深が浅いため、水に慣れていない未就学児でも自分の足で入っていけるのが安心なところ。山あいの住宅街にある公園なので、市街地の公園よりも風が涼しく、木陰で休みながら遊べます。プールのように時間で区切られることがなく、遊びと休憩を子どものペースで繰り返せるのがじゃぶじゃぶ池のよさです。料金は無料なので、午後だけ立ち寄る使い方もできます。

Tips

終了は16:00です。着替えと片づけを考えて15:45ごろには水から上がりましょう。天候や水温、清掃作業によって利用できない日があるため、出かける前に札幌市の案内ページで当日の状況を確認してください。山あいで夕方に気温が下がりやすいので、上に羽織るものを1枚持っていくと安心です。おむつが取れていない子は水遊び用おむつを用意しましょう。

Fruit picking varies by season and variety, and an additional fee applies. Check the opening days, reception hours and which fruit can be picked that day on the official information in advance. You will walk through fields with little shade, so a hat is essential. Your hands get sticky, so wet wipes make things more comfortable.
