This is a Japanese garden adjoining Akebonoyama Agricultural Park, laid out with a pond and groves of trees. The quietly tended scenery is a contrast to the liveliness of the park, and simply walking through it settles the mind. Move on a little and you come to the park's landmark, a white Dutch-style windmill, and flower fields that are replanted with the seasons. In summer, tall flowers such as sunflowers are often at their best, and it is popular as a photogenic spot. Making one circuit of the whole park before the water play makes the afternoon run more smoothly.

柏市のあけぼの山農業公園にある、無料の水遊び場「あけぼの山農業公園みずあそびコーナー」です。例年8月2日(日)から8月31日(月)まで、10時から15時30分まで開放され、開園日のみの実施で雨天は中止になります。ふるさと広場(裏門付近)にある浅いプールと、てんとう虫型の噴水で遊べる構成で、小さな子でも安心して水に入れます。テント・よしず・ベンチによる日除けが用意されているので、真夏でも休憩をはさみながら長く過ごせるのがこの公園の大きな強みです。入園料と駐車場はどちらも無料。パークセンターにキッズルームと売店があるため、1日をこの公園の中だけで組み立てられます。

Tips

15時30分で終了なので、15時前には着替えの準備を始めると落ち着いて帰れます。日除けのテントやよしずの下は人気なので、早めに場所を確保しておくと快適です。雨天は中止になるため、当日の天気を確かめてから出かけてください。開園日のみの実施なので、公園の休園日と重ならないかも合わせて確認しましょう。
