This facility organizes and stores materials unearthed from archaeological sites within Ichihara City and also puts them on display. You can view pottery and stone tools up close, so it becomes concrete what lay beneath the ground of the temple ruins you walked through just before. 市原市の住宅地の中にある緑地の無料の水遊び場「泉台中央緑地せせらぎ」です。人工のせせらぎ(水路)が緑地を貫いていて、水深が浅いので歩き始めたばかりの子でも自分の足で入っていけます。プールのように区切られていないぶん、流れをたどって歩く、水をせき止める、葉っぱを流すなど、子どもが自分で遊び方を見つけられるのがこの場所のよさ。まわりが住宅地なので、大型レジャー施設のような混雑がなく、落ち着いて過ごせます。利用は無料で、短時間だけ立ち寄る使い方もできます。2026年の開設期間は未発表で、例年は夏休み期間に水が流れます。

開設期間が未発表のため、出かける前に市原市の案内で当日の通水状況を確認してください。水路の底は滑りやすいことがあるので、素足ではなくマリンシューズやサンダルが安心です。住宅地の中の緑地なので、声の大きさや駐車の仕方に気を配りましょう。おむつが取れていない子は水遊び用おむつを用意し、遊んだあとは足をよく洗い流してください。
