The flower fields spread over a gentle hill at the heart of Omiya Hana-no-Oka Agricultural and Forestry Park. Flowers replanted with each season bloom across the whole slope, and standing at the top of the hill gives an open view over the entire park. The paths are well maintained, so it is a joy that even small children can make their way among the flowers on their own feet. This park is not simply a large open space: it has the scenery its name promises, a hill of flowers. Admission is free, and even just a walk is satisfying enough.

There is little shade, so be sure to bring a hat and drinks. The best viewing season varies with the flowers, so checking bloom information on the park's official website before you go helps you meet the scenery you hoped for. Please note that pets are not allowed.
