About this spot

A playground for children, well stocked with play structures, inside Kumagaya Sports and Culture Park. It sits immediately next to the water plaza, making it the perfect place to warm up before changing into swimsuits. Working up a sweat on the slides and adventure equipment before getting into the water lifts children's spirits. Groves of trees and lawns spread across the spacious grounds, and adults can keep watch from the shade. The layout also makes it easy to set your bags down and take turns supervising.

熊谷市の熊谷スポーツ文化公園にある「熊谷スポーツ文化公園親水広場」です。2026年は7月18日(土)から8月31日(月)まで、10:00〜16:00の時間帯に開かれます。8月4日(火)は休みで、悪天候の日も休みになります。利用は無料で、隣に遊具のそろった子供の広場があるため、水と遊具を行き来しながら長く遊べるのが魅力。日本一暑い町として知られる熊谷にあって、夏休みのあいだだけ開かれる貴重な水辺です。開放は1か月半ほどと短いので、行きたい日は早めに押さえておきましょう。

Tips

8月4日(火)は休みなので、その日は避けて計画してください。悪天候の日も休みになるため、当日の天気が不安なときは公園の公式サイトで確認を。熊谷の真夏は気温が非常に高くなるので、日よけのテントやこまめな水分補給を忘れずに。水遊び後は水道で足をよく洗いましょう。終了は16:00なので、15時半をめどに片づけ始めると余裕があります。

Tips

Play equipment can grow hot in the midsummer sun, so check it once before letting children touch it. During hours with little shade, do not push it: wrapping up early and moving on to the water is safer. Checking where the toilets are in advance saves any panic at changing time.
