About this spot

A plaza around the West Gate, close to the water play area and Ponpoko Mountain. There is a shop, so you can pick up drinks and light meals here. Spread a picnic sheet in the shade and eat your packed lunch, and you can rest at leisure in a cool breeze. The park is simply huge, and even walking to the next spot takes energy, so eating well and sitting down here is the right call before the afternoon water play. Toilets are close by, so the route to and from changing is short.

Tips

The shop can get crowded at lunchtime, so buying light meals in the morning or bringing a packed lunch cuts down the waiting. Shaded spots are popular, so choose your place early. Reapplying sunscreen here makes the afternoon more comfortable.

About 50 minutes. It is busy around noon, so shifting a little earlier or later is calmer
