A public complex attached to the Sakura Ward Office of Saitama City. A library, a hall and multipurpose spaces are gathered together, making it a place where local people gather day to day. The air-conditioned interior is ideal for riding out the hottest hours of midsummer. Choosing a picture book in the children's section of the library lets bodies tired from outdoor play rest quietly. It is close to the water play area, so you can recover your energy and then head for the water.

さいたま市桜区の「荒川総合運動公園通り水遊び場」です。2026年は5月1日(金)から10月末頃(2026年は10月31日(土)頃)まで、9:00〜17:00の時間帯に利用できます(清掃等により利用できない場合あり)。遊歩道沿いに噴水と浅い流れが設けられていて、利用は無料。半年近くにわたって開いているのが最大の特徴で、真夏の混雑を避けて初夏や秋口に訪れるという選択ができます。荒川の広い河川敷に近い開けた立地なので、景色がのびやかで気持ちがよいのもこの場所ならでは。散歩の途中に足を冷やす、といった気軽な使い方もできます。

Tips

清掃等により利用できない日があるため、遠方から向かう場合はさいたま市公園緑地協会の案内で当日の状況を確認しておくと安心です。日陰が少ない場所もあるので、日よけと飲み物は多めに用意しましょう。更衣室の記載はないので、水着は服の下に着ていくのが確実。水遊び後は水道で足をよく洗い、こまめに休憩をはさんでください。
