About this spot

A botanical garden run by Saitama City, adjoining Osaki Park (大崎公園). Tropical plants grow thick in the large greenhouse, while seasonal flower beds and fruit trees spread out in the open air. Admission is free, so it is welcome that you can drop in casually and walk as much as you like. The greenhouse has an atmosphere all its own, and children stare wide-eyed at the towering leaves and unusual flowers. Being right next to Osaki Park, you can simply walk on to the lunch spot, which makes moving around easy.

さいたま市緑区の大崎公園にある「大崎公園じゃぶじゃぶ池」です。2026年は7月18日(土)から8月31日(月)まで、10:00〜16:00の時間帯に開かれます。15時頃から排水が始まるため、たっぷり遊びたい場合は午後の早い時間に入るのがおすすめです。利用は無料で、同じ公園内には入園無料の子供動物園が併設され、トイレも整っています。まわりには見沼田んぼの田園風景が広がり、緑に囲まれた静かな環境で水遊びができるのがこの公園ならでは。動物園と水遊びが1か所でそろい、しかもどちらも無料という点で、夏休みの強い味方になります。

Tips

7月27日(月)・8月10日(月)・8月24日(月)は清掃のため休止です。悪天候・台風接近時も休止になるので、出かける前に公園の公式サイトで当日の状況を確認してください。15時頃から排水が始まるので、水深のある状態で遊びたいなら14時前後までに入りましょう。水遊び後は水道で足をよく洗い、木陰で休憩をはさみながら遊ぶと熱中症を防げます。おむつが取れていない子は水遊び用おむつを用意してください。

Tips

The greenhouse gets hot and humid in summer, so a short visit rather than a long stay is more comfortable. The outdoor flower beds get strong sunlight, so do not forget a hat. Opening hours and closing days may change, so checking in advance gives peace of mind.
