An open lawn spreading through Osaki Park (大崎公園). The rural landscape of the Minuma rice fields continues all around, giving a sense of openness that makes you forget you are in a city. Lay a picnic sheet in the shade and it becomes a pleasant lunch spot with a breeze passing through. The afternoon's children's zoo and splash pond are both in the same park, so you can use this as a base, leave your belongings, and move around lightly. There are restrooms in the park too, so the route for changing clothes is short.

さいたま市緑区の大崎公園にある「大崎公園じゃぶじゃぶ池」です。2026年は7月18日(土)から8月31日(月)まで、10:00〜16:00の時間帯に開かれます。15時頃から排水が始まるため、たっぷり遊びたい場合は午後の早い時間に入るのがおすすめです。利用は無料で、同じ公園内には入園無料の子供動物園が併設され、トイレも整っています。まわりには見沼田んぼの田園風景が広がり、緑に囲まれた静かな環境で水遊びができるのがこの公園ならでは。動物園と水遊びが1か所でそろい、しかもどちらも無料という点で、夏休みの強い味方になります。

Tips

7月27日(月)・8月10日(月)・8月24日(月)は清掃のため休止です。悪天候・台風接近時も休止になるので、出かける前に公園の公式サイトで当日の状況を確認してください。15時頃から排水が始まるので、水深のある状態で遊びたいなら14時前後までに入りましょう。水遊び後は水道で足をよく洗い、木陰で休憩をはさみながら遊ぶと熱中症を防げます。おむつが取れていない子は水遊び用おむつを用意してください。

Tips

Shady spots are popular, so scoping one out during the morning makes it more certain. There are not many restaurants nearby, so preparing a bento and drinks in advance is recommended. Eating too much makes the afternoon's water play harder, so keep lunch on the light side.
