A municipal science museum in Komaba, Urawa-ku, Saitama City, themed around getting close to science. The exhibition rooms are lined with devices you can move by hand and try out, so children touch first and are surprised before they even read the explanation, which is the very best way to learn. The dome-shaped planetarium projects the seasonal night sky, and lying back in the dark to look up at the stars is a special kind of time. Being indoors, it also suits a cool escape from the strong sunshine of late morning. The exhibition rooms are free to visit, with a separate fee only for the planetarium, which is another welcome touch.

さいたま市浦和区の「天王川コミュニティ緑道じゃぶじゃぶ」です。2026年は7月14日(火)から8月30日(日)まで、9:00〜18:00の時間帯に利用できます。2026年7月13日に復旧済みで、清掃等により利用できない場合があります。せせらぎと滝のある細長い緑道という造りが特徴で、歩きながら好きな場所で水に入れるのが子どもにはたまらない楽しさ。プールのような深さがないので、小さな子でも足を入れて安心して遊べます。利用は無料で、18時まで開いているため、日が傾いてからの涼しい時間帯にもゆっくり過ごせる、地元の子どもたちが集まる身近な水辺です。

Tips

清掃等により利用できない日があるため、遠方から向かう場合はさいたま市公園緑地協会の案内で当日の状況を確認しておくと安心です。緑道は細長いので、子どもが遠くまで行かないよう見える範囲で遊ばせましょう。更衣室の記載はないので、水着は服の下に着ていくのが確実。水遊び後は水道で足をよく洗い、木陰で休憩をはさみながら遊んでください。
