About this spot

This is an area on the north side of Yamadaike Park (山田池公園) centred on the pond and its waterside plants. Paths are laid out around the broad pond, letting you walk beneath the trees while breezes cross the water. In summer you can spot waterbirds such as spot-billed ducks and herons, sometimes appearing close enough for children to point at without binoculars. Shaded benches and lawn areas are dotted along the paths, making it easy to spread a picnic sheet and eat lunch wherever you feel like resting. It works best as a gentle warm-up walk before getting into the water in the afternoon, without overexerting anyone.

中の池公園噴水（水遊び広場）は、枚方市の住宅地に囲まれた公園にある無料の水遊びスポットです。2026年のシーズンは6/26(金)から9月中旬までで、時間は9:00〜18:00。終了日が「9月中旬」という表記のため、9月に入ってからは稼働状況を確認してから出かけると確実です。浅瀬の噴水広場という造りで水深が浅く、広場全体が見渡せるので、小さな子どもを遊ばせるときの安心感があります。園内にトイレがあり料金は無料で、18:00まで動いているため、猛暑日は日が傾いてから出かけて夕方の2〜3時間だけ遊ぶという計画も立てられます。近所の公園の延長として、思い立った日に気軽に向かえるのがこの場所の一番の魅力です。

Tips

天候により運転期間が変更になることがあるため、出発前に枚方市の案内で確認してください。噴水の床面はぬれるとすべりやすいので、脱げにくい水遊び用サンダルが安心です。更衣室のない前提で、上から着られるラップタオルやポンチョがあると着替えがスムーズ。日陰は広場のまわりの木の下に限られるので、帽子と日焼け止めは必須です。

Tips

Some stretches of the pond shore have no railings, so do not take your eyes off small children. Mosquitoes are common near the water, so insect repellent makes things more comfortable. The park is undulating, so with a stroller it is easier to stick to the paved main paths.
