This is a roadside station at the foot of Mt. Nijo (二上山) that serves as the gateway to Katsuragi. The direct sales area, stocked with vegetables, fruit, and processed goods brought in by local farmers, changes its lineup with the seasons, and adults enjoy browsing it too. There is a place to eat, so finishing lunch here before water play makes the afternoon feel lighter. It is also reassuring to top up on drinks, snacks, and any missing daily necessities here. Nijozan Furusato Park is a short drive away, making this just the right final preparation point before departure.

Tips

The dining area gets crowded around noon on weekends and holidays, so arriving in the late 11 o'clock hour or shifting to around 13:00 shortens the wait. Vegetables at the direct sales area can run low in the early afternoon, so if shopping is your aim, earlier is better. Checking here for any shortfall in spare clothes or towels saves you from scrambling after you reach the park.
