This park in the center of Takanabe Town was created on the site of Takanabe Castle. Stone walls and traces of the moat remain, and large trees grow thickly, so even in midsummer there is plenty of shade and it stays comfortable. There are steps and slopes in the grounds, and climbing to the top opens up a view over the town. With benches and open areas, it is just right for spreading a sheet and eating a boxed lunch. Rest your body well in the cool shade to prepare for the afternoon water play. Eating a boxed lunch on the stage of a castle site is a special experience for children in itself.

Tips
