Kanagawa Forest in the Yamanashi Prefectural Forest Park covers about 36 hectares, with six woodlands linked in a gentle sequence. Rental bicycles are available, and riding the tree-lined paths is a pleasure unique to this park. The long roller slide, which makes use of the slope, is hugely popular with children and is so much fun they will want to climb back up again and again. Large play structures and an athletic course are also dotted about, so you can move around according to your interests. With plenty of shade among the trees, you can stay active in relative comfort even in the middle of a summer day.

山梨県森林公園金川の森どんぐりの森の小川は、木立に囲まれた園内を流れる無料の水遊び場です。小さな滝やトンネルが設けられていて、水をくぐったり滝の下に立ったりと、ただ足をつけるだけでは終わらない仕掛けがあります。まわりを森が囲んでいるため木陰が豊富で、真夏でも比較的涼しく過ごせるのがこの公園の大きな強みです。約36haの敷地には6つの森が広がり、長いローラー滑り台や大型遊具、アスレチック、レンタサイクルもそろっています。水遊びと森遊びを行き来しながら、1日を通して自然のなかで過ごせます。

料金は無料です。開設期間は未発表(例年は夏季)なので、出発前に公式ページ(https://kanegawanomori.jp/info/p4869/)で必ず確認してください。小川の底には石があるためマリンシューズが安全です。森の中は虫が出るので虫よけがあると快適。雨のあとは水量が増えることがあるので、流れの様子を見て無理をしない判断を。園内は広く駐車場が複数あるため、どんぐりの森に近い駐車場を選ぶと移動が楽です。

Tips

Entry is free, but rental bicycles may be charged (check the fees and rental times with the on-site information). The roller slide can make your bottom hot or chafed, so a piece of cardboard or a proper mat makes it more comfortable. The park is large, so decide on your parking lot and a meeting point in advance.
