About this spot

One of the largest sports and recreation complexes in the prefecture, spreading out close to the Nagara River (長良川). Besides the stadium and arena there are a roofed multi-purpose plaza and lawn areas, and on days without events it is also loved as a walking course for families. Under the roof you can run around out of the summer sun, which makes it just right for easing the body into the morning. It is only a short walk from Soden-higashi Park (早田東公園), which makes it a handy starting point for the day. There are plenty of benches, so it also suits a strategy meeting before you set off.

岐阜市早田地区の早田東公園(早田東町4丁目40)にある、無料で利用できる水遊び場「早田東公園徒渉池(児童用プール)」です。2026年は7月21日から8月7日までのうち計18日間、13時から16時まで開設されます。水深が浅いので、まだ泳げない小さな子どもでも自分の足で歩きながら水に親しめます。対象は原則として小学3年生以下で、未就学児は保護者同伴、おむつのとれない幼児は利用できません。開設日は岐阜市の日程表のとおりで、悪天候のときは赤旗が掲げられて中止になります。住宅街の中にあるので、地元の子どもたちに交じって気軽に遊べる雰囲気です。

Tips

利用は無料です。当日の実施可否は現地の旗で確認できます(赤旗は中止の合図)。水着を服の下に着ていくと着替えがスムーズです。日陰が限られるので、レジャーシートと多めの飲み物を用意しておきましょう。16時終了なので、15時45分ごろから片づけを始めてください。

Tips

Strolling the grounds is free, but on days with tournaments or events the parking lot gets crowded and some areas may be off limits. Check the event information on the official website before your visit. Shade is concentrated in the roofed plaza, so deciding on a rest spot first makes moving around easier. Bringing your own drinks is the sure bet.
