Inaba Shrine (伊奈波神社)

About this spot

A shrine standing at the western foot of Mount Kinka (金華山), long cherished as the guardian shrine of the town of Gifu. The stone steps and the cedar-lined approach keep the air cool even in midsummer, so simply walking there brings some relief from the heat. The grounds are wide, and the family can take its time paying respects while visiting the purification basin and the auxiliary shrines. The feeling of being deep in a forest while still in the city is a charm unique to this shrine. Before the afternoon water play, offer a prayer that no one gets hurt.

岐阜市早田地区の早田東公園(早田東町4丁目40)にある、無料で利用できる水遊び場「早田東公園徒渉池(児童用プール)」です。2026年は7月21日から8月7日までのうち計18日間、13時から16時まで開設されます。水深が浅いので、まだ泳げない小さな子どもでも自分の足で歩きながら水に親しめます。対象は原則として小学3年生以下で、未就学児は保護者同伴、おむつのとれない幼児は利用できません。開設日は岐阜市の日程表のとおりで、悪天候のときは赤旗が掲げられて中止になります。住宅街の中にあるので、地元の子どもたちに交じって気軽に遊べる雰囲気です。

Tips

利用は無料です。当日の実施可否は現地の旗で確認できます(赤旗は中止の合図)。水着を服の下に着ていくと着替えがスムーズです。日陰が限られるので、レジャーシートと多めの飲み物を用意しておきましょう。16時終了なので、15時45分ごろから片づけを始めてください。

Tips

Visiting is free. There are stone steps, so it is safer to leave the stroller at the bottom and carry your child up. You will work up a sweat even on the approach in summer, so drink water often. Reception hours at the shrine office change with the season, so check in advance if you would like a goshuin seal.
