About this spot

A temple in central Gifu City, known for preserving the Rakuichi-Rakuza (楽市楽座) edict that Oda Nobunaga (織田信長) issued to free up commerce in his castle town. Although it sits in a corner of the city center, once you step into the grounds the traffic noise recedes and a quiet air settles in. Even difficult history gets through to children if you put it as: long ago it was decided here that anyone could freely open a shop. A visit takes only about 30 minutes, so it fits easily into the trip from the station to the park.

岐阜市厚見地区の木ノ下公園(木ノ下町7丁目)にある、無料で利用できる水遊び場「木ノ下公園徒渉池(児童用プール)」です。2026年は7月18日から8月24日までのうち計28日間、13時から16時まで開設されます。開設日数が多いので、夏休みの都合に合わせて行く日を選びやすいのが助かります。水深が浅いため、まだ泳げない小さな子どもでも自分の足で歩きながら水に親しめます。対象は原則として小学3年生以下で、未就学児は保護者同伴、おむつのとれない幼児は利用できません。開設日は岐阜市の日程表のとおりで、悪天候のときは赤旗が掲げられて中止になります。

Tips

利用は無料です。当日の実施可否は現地の旗で確認できます(赤旗は中止の合図)。水着を服の下に着ていくと着替えが簡単になります。日陰が限られるため、レジャーシートと多めの飲み物を持参してください。16時終了なので、15時45分ごろから片づけを始めましょう。

Visiting is free. The grounds are also a place where people live, so please keep quiet. Cultural properties may have set conditions for viewing, so check in advance if you would like to see them. There are hours with little shade, so do not forget a hat and drinks.
