A community facility within the Yakage townscape that makes use of a traditional townhouse building. Inside, the history and highlights of Yakage are introduced, and stopping by before a town walk gives you a grasp of how the town came to be. The earthen floor and exposed beams are practically an exhibit in themselves, and the difference from modern homes surprises children too. It also works well as a place to rest and gather information, just right for catching your breath partway through a walk. 小田郡矢掛町の「矢掛町総合運動公園「遊のおか」噴水広場」は、天然芝の広場に設けられた無料の水遊びスポットです。地面から吹き上がるタイプの噴水なので、水柱の出るタイミングを追いかけて走り回るだけで子どもは夢中になります。すぐそばには大型複合遊具と幼児用遊具があり、年齢の違うきょうだいでもそれぞれの遊び方ができるのがこの公園の強み。芝生の上なので、転んでもけがをしにくく、裸足で歩いても気持ちがいいのがうれしいところです。屋根付きの休憩所とベンチ、自動販売機があるので、付き添う大人も無理なく長い時間を過ごせます。基本の利用は無料で、運動施設など一部が有料になります。

2026年の噴水の開設期間は未発表です。例年は夏休み期間なので、出発前に矢掛町の案内で当日水が出るかを確認してください。芝生は日ざしを浴びると熱くなることがあるため、裸足で歩く前に手で触れて確かめましょう。日陰は屋根付き休憩所と木立に限られるので、レジャーシートやポップアップテントがあると休憩が楽になります。着替えとタオル、濡れた服を入れるビニール袋は人数分そろえておくと帰りが楽です。
