Amakusa General Park (天草総合公園)

About this spot

A plaza at the heart of Amakusa Park gathering play equipment themed on stars and space. Several large combination playsets shaped around rockets and space imagery stand side by side, combining climbing, crawling and sliding for hours of play. Coming here after touching on the universe at the astronomical museum in the morning suddenly makes the meaning of the equipment's shapes far more interesting — that is the trick built into this course. Benches and tree shade sit around the plaza, so there is no trouble finding a spot to lay out lunch. The Jabujabu Pond is inside this same plaza, so you can switch from equipment to water and back again without going anywhere.

浅口市の「天草公園ジャブジャブ池噴水」は、ロケット広場の中にある水深10cmほどの浅い噴水池です。深さがほとんどないので、水に慣れていない小さな子でも自分の足で立って遊べ、初めての水遊びデビューにも向いています。噴水から降りかかるしぶきを浴びたり、水面をたたいて跳ね返りを楽しんだりと、遊び方は子ども次第。まわりには星と宇宙をテーマにした大型複合遊具が並んでいるので、体が冷えたらすぐに遊具へ移って乾かせます。利用は無料で、気軽に立ち寄れる浅口市の身近な水遊び場です。

2026年の開設期間は未発表です。2024年は6月29日から9月29日まで、10:00〜16:00の開設、月曜休(祝日は開設)でした。今年の日程と休みの曜日は出発前に浅口市の案内で確認してください。池の底は濡れるとすべりやすいので、脱げにくいサンダルかマリンシューズを履かせ、走らないよう声をかけましょう。日陰は木立に限られるため、こまめに休憩をはさんで水分をとってください。着替えとタオル、濡れた服を入れるビニール袋は人数分そろえておくと帰りが楽です。

Tips

The equipment can get hot under the midsummer sun, so touch it to check before letting children play. Shade is limited to the stand of trees and the area around the benches, so a picnic sheet or a pop-up tent makes breaks much easier. Entering the water right after eating puts a strain on the body, so moving the body gently on the equipment first and then heading to the Jabujabu Pond sets a comfortable pace. As a rule, take your rubbish home with you.
