A museum centered on the works of Hiragushi Denchu, a sculptor born in Ihara City. His wooden figures have vivid expressions and gestures, and that is the good thing about sculpture: it reaches children more easily than painting. You can walk right around each piece, and once you notice that the impression changes between the front and the side, looking itself turns into a game. The words and daily life of an artist who kept creating past the age of 100 are also introduced, so there is plenty here for adults too. Since the afternoon is all about moving your body, keep the balance of the day by spending the morning in quiet.

井原市の「経ヶ丸グリーンパーク水遊び場」は、丘陵地に広がる大型レクリエーション施設の中にある、夏場の水遊びスポットです。80mのロング滑り台やアスレチックで汗をかいたあとに水へ入れるので、遊びの流れが自然につながるのがこの施設の強み。基本の利用は無料で、一部の施設が有料になります。園内にはオートキャンプ場やパターゴルフ場もあり、家族の人数や年齢に合わせて過ごし方を選べる懐の深さがあります。300mに及ぶ藤棚が長い日陰を作ってくれるので、付き添う大人が休める場所に困らないのもうれしいところ。丘の上なので風が通り、市街地より過ごしやすく感じられます。

2026年の水遊び場の開設期間は未発表です。例年は夏休み期間なので、出発前に施設の案内で当日水が出るかを確認してください。丘の上で移動に坂が多いため、着替えやタオルは水遊び場のそばまで持っていくと往復せずに済みます。濡れた足で滑り台やアスレチックに向かうと危ないので、体をふいてから移動する約束をしておきましょう。日ざしが強い時間は室内遊戯施設「わくわくドラゴンハウス」や藤棚の日陰を活用してください。着替えとタオル、濡れた服を入れるビニール袋は人数分そろえておくと帰りが楽です。
