This Ichinoseki City hot-spring facility, offering day-use bathing and meals, sits right beside the Jabu-Jabu Water Playground. Surrounded by the deep greenery at the foot of Mt. Kurikoma, it lets you eat at a leisurely pace while looking out at the scenery through the windows. Eating well and resting before the afternoon water play keeps the children full of energy. The greatest luxury here is being able to step straight into the baths after playing in the water. Warming up bodies chilled by stream water before heading home makes for such a satisfying day that children often fall asleep on the drive back. It also helps that the walk is short enough to leave your luggage in the car.

一関市厳美町、栗駒山麓の真湯温泉センターに隣接する無料の水遊び場が「真湯温泉センタージャブジャブ広場」です。2026年は7月4日(土)にじゃぶじゃぶ池への注水が始まりました。冷たい沢水が流れ込む池なので、真夏でも足を入れた瞬間に「つめたい!」と声が出るほどの気持ちよさがあります。広場にはブランコやコンビネーション遊具「プレイポートワンダー」をはじめ幼児用の遊具も多数そろっていて、水遊びと遊具を行き来しながら一日中過ごせます。7月18日(土)・19日(日)には10時から15時までオープンイベントが開かれ、輪投げ・射的・スーパーボールすくいなどで縁日のようににぎわいます。すぐ隣が温泉、その先が真湯野営場という山里ならではの環境です。

Tips

ジャブジャブ広場の開設期間は4月から10月で利用時間の制限はありませんが、池の水の終了日は公式に未発表です。出発前に一関市の案内で当日の状況を確認してください。沢水はとても冷たく体が冷えやすいので、こまめに水からあがって拭き、羽織るものを用意しましょう。池の底や周囲の石で足を切らないよう、マリンシューズなど足を守れる履物は必須です。おむつが取れていない子の入水可否は現地の掲示に従ってください。山あいのため天候が変わりやすく、雷や増水の気配があればすぐに切り上げること。虫が多いので虫よけがあると快適です。ゴミは各自持ち帰りです。

Tips

Bathing costs a fee and is separate from the free use of the Jabu-Jabu Water Playground. Meal service hours, closing days and bathing reception times can change, so check the Ichinoseki City information or the facility details in advance. If you plan to bathe after water play, bringing two sets of towels and spare clothes is reassuring. Mobile phone reception is weak in places because of the mountain setting. Carrying a little extra cash will keep you out of trouble.
