This shopping centre stands in the middle of Otake City. You can eat in air-conditioned comfort, which makes it just right for a lunch break on a hot day. After the meal, it is also handy for stocking up on all the drinks and snacks you will need for the afternoon water play. If you have forgotten a change of clothes or a towel, being able to pick one up here is reassuring too. Harumi Seaside Park (晴海臨海公園) is only a short drive away, so the location works well as a rest stop.

晴海臨海公園水広場は、スイッチを押すと地面から一定時間ミストが噴き出す水遊び場です。2022年4月にオープンした比較的新しい公園の一角にあり、自分で押して自分で浴びるという仕組みなので、水がこわい子も少しずつ距離を縮めていけます。プールのような深さがないため、歩き始めたばかりの子でも一緒に遊べるのが安心なところ。隣には屋根付きのベンチがあり、日差しを避けながら交代で休めます。例年4月1日(水)頃から10月31日(土)頃までと稼働期間が長く、真夏を避けた過ごしやすい日をねらえるのも魅力です。利用は無料で、海風の抜ける気持ちのよい環境で水と遊べます。

Tips

水を含んだ地面は滑りやすいので、場内は走らないよう必ず声をかけてください。稼働は例年4月1日(水)頃〜10月31日(土)頃です。年によって変わることがあるため、出発前に大竹市の案内で確認しましょう。専用の更衣室がない場合に備えて、水着を服の下に着ていくと着替えがスムーズです。日差しをさえぎるものが少ないので、屋根付きベンチを休憩の拠点にしましょう。着替えとタオルは人数分より少し多めに用意すると安心です。
