Asakura Green Hometown Park is a free-admission park known as the birthplace of the Green Youth Corps. Walking paths wind through the grounds, and from the Green Observation Deck a little way up you can look out over the fields and mountain ridges of the Asakura countryside. The Art and Ancient Tomb Museum (美術古墳館) in the park has exhibits on the region's burial mounds and excavated items, so the countryside scenery and the history of the land come together before your eyes. There are many trees, so even in summer you can walk while choosing the shade, which is a real relief. Before water play, climb a little higher and look down over the whole park you are about to enjoy.

Tips

水路の底は滑りやすいので、素足やビーチサンダルではなく、滑りにくいマリンシューズを履かせてください。更衣室やシャワーがある施設ではないため、濡れてもよい服で行くか、車内で着替えられる準備をしておくと安心です。小さな子は水遊び用おむつを着用しましょう。里山の公園なので虫よけがあると快適です。雷が鳴ったらすぐに切り上げ、ゴミは持ち帰ってください。

Tips

The walking paths have slopes, so please come in comfortable walking shoes. The opening days and hours of the Art and Ancient Tomb Museum can change, so checking in advance is safest. Mosquitoes can appear in the shade, so insect repellent makes the walk more comfortable.
