About this spot

Located inside Akatsukayama Park, this facility mainly exhibits freshwater fish of the Toyokawa River system. Unlike a sea aquarium, the stars here are fish that live in the rivers and ponds close to home, so you can walk around chatting about whether they might be in the river near your house too. Many of the tanks are set at a height matched to a child's eye level, so even small children can peer in by themselves, which is a welcome touch. Being indoors, it also works well as a rest stop for avoiding the strongest sunlight. The same park has Ani Ani Maaru and Wakuwaku Park as well, so drop by if you have the time and energy.

豊川市の赤塚山公園にある無料の水遊び場、「豊川市赤塚山公園水の広場」です。年度単位(4月1日〜翌3月31日)の通年開設で、2026年は豊川用水の節水対策が解除されたことに伴い4月29日に噴水が再開しました。約300平方メートルの遊水池には、一列に吹き上がるライン噴水と、次々に噴き出すぴょんぴょん噴水があり、水の動きを追いかけて走り回るだけで子どもは夢中になります。屋根付きのベンチがあるので、大人は日陰から見守りながらゆっくり過ごせるのがありがたいところ。同じ園内のぎょぎょランド、アニアニまある、わくわくパークと組み合わせれば、1日を通して遊びが途切れません。料金は無料なので、短時間だけ立ち寄る使い方もできます。

Tips

火曜と祝日の翌平日、年末年始は休園です。清掃休止日は7月28日・8月4日・8月12日・8月18日・8月25日なので、この日は避けて計画してください。開設終了日は公表されていないため、秋以降に訪れる場合は公式サイトで当日の稼働を確認しましょう。足元が滑りやすいのでマリンシューズがあると安心です。水遊び後は体をよく流し、日陰で休憩をはさみながら遊ぶと熱中症を防げます。
