About this spot

A large park in Kameda, Konan Ward, bringing together lawn areas, groves of trees, a pond and sports facilities. Local families use it as part of daily life, and on holidays the voices of children never stop. There are plenty of shaded areas, so it suits spreading out a leisure sheet and eating a packed lunch even in midsummer. It is a well-placed stopover for resting legs tired from the morning's museum walk and building up energy for the afternoon in the water. Getting your change of clothes ready here makes everything go smoothly once you arrive at Yokogoshi Park.

よこごし公園流れ（せせらぎ水路）は、新潟市江南区の地区公園にある無料の水遊びスポットです。開設期間は未発表で、例年は夏季に流れています。浅い水路なので小さな子どもでも歩いて入れ、上流から下流へたどるだけでも立派な遊びになります。園内は49,274平方メートルと広く、幼児用遊具のある遊び場広場、コンビネーション遊具のある屋根付き広場、すべり台のある築山、多目的広場と、水以外の遊び場も充実しています。体が冷えたら屋根付き広場へ移って温まり、また水に戻るという行き来ができるのが、1日を過ごすうえでとてもありがたい構成です。園路と東屋も整っているので、大人はベンチで休みながら子どもを見守れます。

開設期間は未発表なので、出発前に新潟市の公式ページで当年の状況を必ず確認してください。天候や管理状況によって水が流れていない日があります。水路の底は滑りやすいので、脱げにくいサンダルやマリンシューズを履かせてください。更衣室があるとは限らないため、上から羽織れるタオルや簡易ポンチョがあると着替えに困りません。屋根付き広場と東屋が休憩場所になるので、暑い時間帯はこまめに日陰へ移動しましょう。

Benches in the sun get hot during summer days, so secure a spot in the shade first. Buying plenty of drinks in advance is reassuring. Facilities in the park have different hours and closures depending on the type, so check the notices on the day if there is something you want to use.
