Rinshi-no-Mori Park

About this spot

Originally the site of the national forestry experiment station, this land was opened as a metropolitan park and is full of large trees. Trees gathered from all over Japan and abroad have gone on growing here, so thick trunks and high canopies spread out in a way you would not expect in central Tokyo. The shade is deep, and the temperature inside the park clearly feels lower even in midsummer. There are lawns, a splash pond for water play and a playground area, so children can play before and after lunch. Fudo Park is within walking distance, so you can head over while the meal settles.

不動公園じゃぶじゃぶ池・流れは、目黒区の不動公園にある無料の水遊び場です。2026年の稼働期間は7/1(水)から9/30(水)まで、時間は9:00〜16:30で、区の公式表記は「7月第1週から9月末頃まで」となっています。水は塩素等で消毒管理されており、安心して足を入れられます。流れは浅く造られているため、歩きはじめの小さな子どもでも自分の足で進むことができ、親も見守りやすい構造です。目黒不動尊のすぐ近くという立地で、地域の子どもたちの夏の定番の遊び場になっています。料金は無料なので、天気のよい日に思い立って出かけられるのも魅力です。

Tips

月1回ほど点検日があり、その日は利用できません。点検日時は現地に掲示されるので、事前に確認するか区の公式ページで開設状況を見てから出かけてください。飲食物の持込とペットの入水はできません。水遊び用サンダルの着用が推奨されているので、素足やビーチサンダルではなく、かかとの留まるタイプを用意しましょう。着替えの場所は限られるため、水着を下に着ていくと現地での支度が短く済みます。

Tips

Rubbish must be taken home as a rule, so bring plenty of bags. The park is large, so decide which entrance to use before going in and you will not get lost. Avoid getting into the water right after eating; resting 20 to 30 minutes before changing is safer. It goes smoothly if you pick up a packed lunch around Meguro Station or Musashi-Koyama before entering.
