Yoshii Pool (吉井プール), located at Yoshii Sports Park in Takasaki City, is open in 2026 from Saturday, July 18 to Monday, August 31. It operates in two shifts, 9:00 AM to noon and 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM, and this course is built around using the entire afternoon shift. Its major feature is being divided into three depths: a 50m pool (50m x 20m, depth 1.0-1.3m), a children's pool (20m x 10m, depth 0.5m), and a toddler pool (depth 0.05-0.3m), covering everything from barely-wet shallows to depths suitable for swimming practice. Admission is 150 yen for high school students and up, 100 yen for junior high school students and under, affordable enough that cost is barely a concern even for a family outing.

Tips

Because of the morning/afternoon shift system, entry is not possible between noon and 1:00 PM. If you're entering for the afternoon session, it's efficient to arrive around 1:00 PM. Check Takasaki City's official information on the day for opening hours, closed days, and any weather-related cancellations. The 50m pool is fairly deep, so an adult should accompany children who aren't confident swimmers. Having coins ready for the locker makes things go smoothly.

Best time to visit

The afternoon session runs 3.5 hours, from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM. After 3:00 PM, the sunlight softens and swimming becomes more comfortable.
