About this spot

This pampas grass field spreads across the foot of the mountains and is a celebrated Sengokuhara scene, selected as one of the '50 Scenic Views of Kanagawa.' From mid-October to mid-November, you can walk along the single path through pampas grass that glows golden in the sunlight. As November progresses, the grass turns a reddish-brown, creating the rare sight of the entire field taking on autumn colors.

Tips

The path through the field is a single out-and-back trail. There's little shade, so bringing a hat and drinks is reassuring.
