A walking path is maintained along this gorge carved by the rapid Tone River, running from Sasafue Bridge to Suwa Gorge Grand Bridge, where scenic vistas of strange rock formations and pristine waters continue throughout. Spring greens and autumn foliage seasons offer truly spectacular views. The 42-meter-high Suwa Gorge Grand Bridge is also renowned as a bungee jumping spot, and the view from atop the bridge is breathtaking.
Tips
Parts of the walking path are unpaved, so wear comfortable walking shoes. The bridge can be windy, so secure your hat. Be cautious not to lose it.
