Gifu Park
Flow of the course
About this spot
A history park spreading across the foot of Mount Kinkazan and serving as the gateway to Gifu sightseeing. Within the grounds are garden remains said to be from the residence of Oda Nobunaga and the statue of young Oda Nobunaga, which heightens the warring states atmosphere. The park's lush green areas, featuring ponds and waterfalls, are perfect for strolling, and the Nawa Insect Museum, popular with insect-loving children, is also located within the park grounds. The ropeway boarding station is also in the park, offering a convenient location for heading directly to Mount Kinkazan after your morning walk.
Tips
Admission is free, and the park paths are paved and easy to navigate with a stroller. There are paid parking lots nearby; arriving early in the morning is recommended for easier parking. If visiting the Nawa Insect Museum, plan for separate admission fees and additional time. Restrooms and vending machines are available in the park.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour. The morning hours have fewer visitors and provide refreshing shade-covered strolls.
