Leisurely Beach Walk at a Hundred-Select Scenic Bathing Beach with White Sand and Pine Groves
About this spot
A beach located not far from central Anan, stretching approximately 1.5 kilometers with white sand and pine groves. Selected as one of Japan's Hundred-Select Scenic Bathing Beaches, this beautiful shore is characterized by shallow waters and a gently curved coastline. While crowded with swimmers during summer, it becomes peaceful in other seasons, perfect for leisurely shoreline walks and shell collecting. The sound of waves filtering through the pine grove and the sea breeze are wonderfully refreshing, making it an ideal rest spot to stretch your body during the drive. From the beach, you can enjoy leisurely views of ships passing through the Kii Channel.
Tips
Free parking is available along the beach. During summer swimming season, expect crowds, so if your goal is walking, stop by in the morning or mid-afternoon for smoother access. Since you'll be walking on sand, wearing shoes or sandals that prevent sand from getting inside is more comfortable.
Best time to visit
Allow approximately 40 minutes. The afternoon light accentuates the contrast between the white sand and green pine trees
