Local Specialty Jakkatsu and Fresh Seafood Lunch Overlooking Iyo-nada Bay
About this spot
A roadside station located on Route 378, known as the "Tasogare Koyake Line," running along the Iyo-nada coast. This open location with the sea directly before you offers local Futami specialties and souvenirs. Futami is known for its shirasu (whitebait) production, and local favorites like jakkoten (whitebait fritters) and jakkatsu (whitebait cutlet) are perfect for eating on the go. The dining area serves fresh seafood set meals and rice bowls while you gaze out at the sea. The product section is full of Ehime-style souvenirs including citrus fruits and seafood processed goods. Since it's integrated with Futami Seaside Koen, you can return to the beach after eating for a leisurely post-lunch stroll.
Tips
The dining area gets crowded during midday, so arriving slightly early (around noon) ensures a table. The signature jakkatsu can sell out, so grab one if you spot it. Parking is free.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. Lunchtime with the sea visible through the windows allows you to relax and enjoy both dining and shopping.
