The Kokuryo River (国領川) riverbed, which is the venue for the Niihama Ryōryō Fireworks Festival, has a wide viewing area centered on the north side of Hirakatabashi Bridge, where the fireworks are launched. If you arrive early in the evening and spread out a leisure sheet to claim your spot, you can visit the nearby food stalls to pick up takoyaki (octopus balls), frankfurter sausages, and cold drinks for your dinner. Tips
荒天時の開催可否は新居浜市または大会の公式発表で当日確認を。終了直後は周辺道路と駐車場の出口が大変混雑します。フィナーレ後はその場でしばらく余韻を楽しみ、人の流れが落ち着いてから移動するのがおすすめです。帰路は足元が暗い場所もあるため、小さなライトを用意しておくと安心です。
