A small white lighthouse standing at the tip of a cape jutting into the Kitan Strait on the northern side of the Kada settlement. In front of you stretches a magnificent sea view overlooking Tomogashima and Awaji Islands, and the sea breeze is pleasant—a scenic viewpoint cherished locally. The area around the lighthouse is rocky, and on clear days the sea's transparency is high, allowing you to feel the vastness of the sea you're about to swim in. While there are no flashy tourist facilities, this is a place where you can savor the quiet seaside landscape unique to the port town of Kada.

和歌山市加太に広がる海水浴場で、2026年は6月27日(土)から8月23日(日)まで、9時から17時まで開設されます。紀淡海峡に面した内海に位置し、波が穏やかで遠浅な砂浜は小さな子ども連れの海水浴にも向いています。遊泳は無料で、更衣室付きのシャワー(有料)やトイレ2か所、売店、AEDも備わっており、万一のときも安心です。友ヶ島や淡路島を望むロケーションも魅力で、港町ならではの素朴な海辺の雰囲気が漂います。午後の日差しの中、夕方の17時まで思いきり水遊びを楽しみましょう。

Tips

駐車場は1日1,000円。シャワーは更衣室付きで有料なので、小銭を用意しておくと安心です。トイレは2か所、売店やAEDも設置されています。遊泳時間は17時までなので、着替えの時間を見込んで16時45分ごろには切り上げるのがおすすめです。

Tips

About 5 minutes by car from Awashima Shrine. The ground is rocky in places, so shoes that are easier to walk in than sandals are recommended. Since there is little shade, don't forget your hat and sunscreen.
