This small white lighthouse stands at the tip of a cape jutting into the Kitan Strait (紀淡海峡), on the north side of the Kada settlement. Before it spreads a magnificent ocean view taking in Tomogashima (友ヶ島) and Awaji Island (淡路島), and it's a spot loved by locals for its pleasant sea breeze. The area around the lighthouse is rocky shore, and on clear days the water is very clear, letting you feel firsthand the expanse of the sea you're about to swim in. There are no flashy tourist facilities here, but it's a place to enjoy the quiet seaside scenery unique to the port town of Kada.
Tips
About 5 minutes by car from Awashima Shrine (淡嶋神社). Since the ground includes some rocky areas, comfortable walking shoes are recommended over sandals. There is little shade, so don't forget a hat and sunscreen.

About 45 minutes. Morning, when the sunlight is gentler, is recommended.
