Immediately after crossing Enoshima Benten Bridge, the approach continuing from the bronze torii gate is Nakamise Street. The street is lined with restaurants serving Shonan specialties such as whitebait rice bowls and food stalls where octopus crackers are grilled on-site, as well as grilled shellfish skewers and other street food. It's perfectly positioned as a lunch stop before swimming, and the lively atmosphere of the approach becomes a memorable part of your trip. The stairs to Enoshima Shrine continue beyond the shopping street, so you can head straight to the shrine after eating.

Venue: 藤沢市・片瀬東浜海水浴場

藤沢市の江の島東側に広がる海水浴場で、2026年は7月1日(水)から9月6日(日)まで開設。遊泳時間は9時から17時まで(土日祝・お盆期間の8/8〜16は8時から17時まで)です。目の前に江の島を望むロケーションが魅力で、波も比較的穏やか。砂浜には海の家が立ち並び、更衣室やシャワーは海の家を利用すれば手ぶらに近い感覚で楽しめます。遊泳自体は無料なので、海の家の利用分だけ準備しておけば安心です。波打ち際の水遊びから砂のお城づくりまで、夕方まで思いきり夏を満喫しましょう。

Tips

片瀬江ノ島駅・江ノ島駅から徒歩約10〜15分。遊泳は無料で、更衣室やシャワーなど海の家の利用は別途料金がかかります。夏の砂浜は熱いのでビーチサンダル必携。遊泳時間は17時までなので、着替えの時間も見込んで15分前には切り上げるのがおすすめです。混雑する週末や夏休みのお盆期間は特に早めの行動を心がけましょう。

Tips

About 15 minutes on foot from Enoden Enoshima Station or about 15 minutes on foot from Katase Enoshima Station via Benten Bridge. During the summer daytime, the approach can get crowded, so it's recommended to arrive early for lunch, around noon. Minimize bulky luggage when eating on-the-go so you can travel light to the beach.
