This is a harbor coast running about 1.4 km along the seafront of Nahari Town. Offshore breakwaters and stepped seawalls have been built to keep the sandy beach in place, and with pine trees and a promenade, it's a local place of relaxation, with coral reefs clustering behind the breakwaters. Located right next to tonight's fireworks venue, it's a good spot to get a feel for the seaside atmosphere during the day.
Tips
About a 10-minute walk from Doi-Kakuchu (土居廓中). Some spots along the seawall can be slippery underfoot, so wear comfortable walking shoes.
Best time to visit
About 45 minutes. In the late afternoon, gentle light streams over the harbor.
