A complex of renovated historic warehouses—sake brewery, soy sauce facility, and miso warehouse—dating from the Edo period and operated as the former Yano Warehouse. Designated as Kiryu City's registered tangible cultural property, the imposing clay-walled storehouses surround a central courtyard and now serve as the city's cultural hub, hosting events, galleries, and concerts. Stalls often set up nearby during festival season, making it a prime spot to feel the festival mood from early on. Simply walking through the storehouses immerses you in the atmosphere of Kiryu's era as a thriving trading center.

群馬県を代表する民謡「八木節」の唄と太鼓が本町通り一帯に鳴り響く、桐生の夏を彩る一大イベントです。2026年は8月7日から9日までの3日間開催され、初日から通りは歩行者天国となって多くの人で賑わいます。軽快なリズムに合わせて浴衣姿の踊り手たちが次々と踊りの輪をつくり、沿道の観客も自然と手拍子を打ちたくなる盛り上がりです。夜が更けるにつれて明かりに照らされた通りの熱気は高まり、桐生の夏らしい活気に満ちた夜を過ごせます。
Tips
屋台の出店情報は確認できていないため、夕食は桐生市場など事前に済ませておくと安心です。通り沿いは大変混雑するため、ベビーカー連れは端に寄って観覧するのがおすすめ。荒天時の開催可否は桐生市の公式情報を確認しましょう。

Just a few minutes' walk from the Textile Memorial Hall. The courtyard is outdoors, so remember to stay hydrated during the hot afternoon hours.
