About this spot

This large park in Nishi Ward, Sapporo, is known for its wide lawns and well-equipped play areas. The combination play structure is generous in scale, making it an ideal spot for children who want to move their bodies as much as they like. An indoor facility stands within the grounds as well, which gives families a reassuring place to escape to if rain comes suddenly. Spread a mat on the shaded lawn and you can turn it straight into a picnic lunch. Eat well and rest properly here to prepare for the afternoon in the water. The Shinkawa Miharukasu Green Space is about a 10-minute drive away.

Tips

The grounds are wide, so decide where you will play before you move and you will not get lost. Check the opening hours of the indoor facility in the official information. On strongly sunny days, choose the shade when you spread your mat. Taking your trash home with you is the basic rule. Restrooms are available within the park.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour 45 minutes. Playing in the morning and taking a shaded lunch around noon is the most comfortable plan.
