A prefectural general museum in Kasuga-cho, Yamaguchi City, where you can learn about the nature and science of Yamaguchi Prefecture all in one place. Displays on geology and fossils, the prefecture's plants and animals, and science and technology are lined up, and children naturally stop in front of the large specimens. There is also a planetarium, and timing your visit with a projection makes a fitting finish to the morning. The exhibition rooms are compactly arranged, so even small children can make a full round while their concentration lasts. Take it slow in the air-conditioned halls and save energy for the afternoon water play.

山口市の維新百年記念公園にある無料のじゃぶじゃぶ池「維新百年記念公園いこいの水広場」です。2026年(令和8年)は4月25日(土)から9月27日(日)まで、10:00〜18:00に開設されます。いちばんの人気は水の流れるすべり台(ウォータースベリ)で、順番待ちの列ができるほど子どもたちが何度も繰り返しすべります。小さな噴水もあり、まだすべり台が早い年齢の子は噴水のまわりでぱしゃぱしゃと遊べます。スロープで水辺まで下りられるバリアフリー設計なので、ベビーカーや車いすでも水際まで近づけるのが大きな特徴です。隣接する大型遊具広場と児童センターを行き来しながら、休憩をはさんで長く過ごせます。

Tips

金曜日の午前中は清掃のため利用できません。大雨など悪天候時も利用中止になるので、出発前に公式サイトで当日の開設状況を確認してください。ペット・自転車・スケートボードは持ち込み不可です。日陰は限られるので、木陰にレジャーシートを敷いて休憩をはさみましょう。おむつが取れていない子は水遊び用おむつを用意し、遊んだあとは水道で足元をよく流してください。

There is enough room to go around with a stroller, but the exhibition rooms are quiet, so a gentle reminder to look quietly before you enter makes things smoother. It is about a 10-minute drive from Ishin Hyakunen Memorial Park.
