About this spot

A high-rise mixed-use building standing right in front of JR Gifu Station, with an observation room on the top 43rd floor that you can enter free of charge. Beyond the windows the Nobi Plain spreads out, with Mount Kinka (金華山) and Gifu Castle (岐阜城) to the east and the Nagara River (長良川) flowing to the north. Riding the elevator straight to the top is fun for children in itself, and showing them a map while telling them where you are going today builds anticipation. It is air-conditioned and has places to sit, making it a perfect starting point on a hot day. Because it is connected directly to the station, it is easy to reach by train or by bus.

岐阜市早田地区の早田中公園(栄新町1丁目42)にある、無料で利用できる水遊び場「早田中公園徒渉池(児童用プール)」です。2026年は7月21日から8月12日までのうち計23日間、13時から16時まで開設されます。水深が浅いため、まだ泳げない小さな子どもでも自分の足で歩きながら水に親しめます。対象は原則として小学3年生以下で、未就学児は保護者同伴、おむつのとれない幼児は利用できません。開設日は岐阜市の日程表のとおりで、悪天候のときは赤旗が掲げられて中止になります。午前中にまちを見て回ったあとの締めくくりにふさわしい、涼しい時間です。

Tips

利用は無料です。当日の実施可否は現地の旗で確認できます(赤旗は中止の合図)。水着は服の下に着ていくと着替えが簡単になります。地面が熱くなるため、水遊び用サンダルがあると安心です。16時終了なので、15時45分ごろから片づけを始めましょう。

The observation room is free to use. Opening hours may change, so check the official website before you visit. The building also has restaurants and shops, so you can stock up on drinks here. The sunlight is strong by the windows, so a hat or a light layer makes a longer stay more comfortable.
