An art museum run by Gifu Prefecture, widely known for works by artists connected to the region and for its collection of Odilon Redon. The galleries are spacious and quiet, giving you time to stop in front of a work and look at it closely. Outside there is a garden dotted with sculptures, and walking it alongside the indoor viewing changes the mood. When you are with children, setting a goal such as finding your favourite single work keeps them from getting bored. The air-conditioned interior is also a dependable place to spend a summer morning.

岐阜市早田地区の光公園(光町3丁目9)にある、無料で利用できる水遊び場「光公園徒渉池(児童用プール)」です。2026年は7月21日から8月15日までのうち計18日間、13時から16時まで開設されます。水深が浅いので、まだ泳げない小さな子どもでも自分の足で歩きながら水に親しめます。対象は原則として小学3年生以下で、未就学児は保護者同伴、おむつのとれない幼児は利用できません。開設日は岐阜市の日程表のとおりで、悪天候のときは赤旗が掲げられて中止になります。屋内で静かに過ごした午前のあと、思いきり声を出して遊べる時間です。

Tips

利用は無料です。当日の実施可否は現地の旗で確認できます(赤旗は中止の合図)。水着を服の下に着ていくと、現地での着替えがスムーズです。日陰が限られるため、レジャーシートと多めの飲み物を持参してください。16時終了なので、15時45分ごろから片づけを始めましょう。

There is an admission fee. The amount varies by exhibition, and opening hours and closed days may also change, so check the official website before visiting. The interior is a place to be quiet, so it helps to agree on that with children in advance. Checking in advance about stroller use and rentals will also make things go smoothly.
