About this spot

Kure Portopia Park is a large park in Kure City facing the Seto Inland Sea (瀬戸内海), and both admission and parking are free. Inside there is a wide lawn area and playground equipment, making it just the right place to warm up before the water play. Benches in the shade are scattered around, so it also suits spreading out a picnic sheet and eating lunch. Sea breezes pass through, so even in midsummer it feels far more comfortable once you step into the shade. There are no restaurants inside the park, so pick up your meal on the way.

呉ポートピアパークじゃぶじゃぶ池・めだか池は、2026年は6月28日(日)から8月31日(月)まで、10:00〜16:00に開設される無料の水遊び場です。当初は6月27日(土)開始の予定でしたが、悪天候のため6月28日(日)開始に延期されました。浅い水面で思いきり水しぶきをあげられるじゃぶじゃぶ池と、生きものをのぞき込めるめだか池が並んでいて、小さな子から小学生まで楽しみ方を選べます。入園料も駐車場も無料なので、思い立った日にふらりと出かけられるのもうれしいところ。簡易シャワーがあるので、遊んだあとに体を流してから帰れます。海沿いの公園らしく風が抜け、木陰で休みながら長く過ごせる水遊び場です。

Tips

利用には水着の着用が必須です。水遊びパンツでの利用も可能で、会場では水着の販売もあります。更衣室はないので、水着を服の下に着てから出かけると着替えがスムーズです。小学3年生以下は保護者の同伴が必要です。雨天・荒天のときは終日休止または途中で休止になることがあるため、出発前に天気と最新のお知らせを確認してください。園内に飲食店はないので、飲み物は多めに持参しましょう。

Tips

There are no restaurants inside the park. Please buy lunch and drinks at a supermarket or convenience store on the way. As a rule, take your trash home with you. The splash pond is open from 10:00 to 16:00, so wrapping up lunch a little early secures plenty of water play time. On days with strong sunshine, claiming a spot in the shade first is reassuring.
