About this spot

This roadside station is a little over 3 km from Gunma Flower Park +. Its landmark is a Dutch-style windmill said to be the largest in northern Kanto, easy to spot even from a distance. There's an observation tower with a sweeping view of the farm, looking out over green slopes backed by Mt. Akagi. The flower and produce direct-sales shop Sanpo-michi stocks local vegetables and flowers, just the right selection for shopping along the way. There's also a roller slide, so children won't get bored even while waiting. Be sure to have a solid lunch here before heading into the afternoon's water play.

Tips

The direct-sales shop has a wider selection in the morning. Stock up here on drinks and an afternoon snack too, so you won't be rushed after arriving at the park. The metal parts of the roller slide can get hot during summer daytime, so check the temperature with your hand before letting children slide. Business hours can differ by shop, so it's reassuring to check the official website in advance.
