About this spot
In one corner of Yokohama Park, home to Yokohama Stadium, lies ‘Higa Garden’ (彼我庭園), a Japanese garden registered as a National Place of Scenic Beauty. Around the pond, the maples turn color first, followed by the ginkgo trees, with the best viewing typically from mid-November to mid-December. The tranquil scenery, hardly what you'd expect from a park in the city center, is a highlight for its autumn leaves reflected on the water's surface. The park has free, unrestricted entry and is open 24 hours, so you can take your time without worrying about the clock.
