The approach path is lined with casual food vendors and souvenir shops, making the journey enjoyable both ways.
Tips
The stairs inside the Great Buddha are steep, so a baby carrier is reassuring for small children. The temple grounds are flat and accessible by stroller. The path from Hase Station is crowded, so hold hands while walking.
