Next stop: Cool off at a waterside park built above an Edo-period irrigation canalAbout this spot
A roadside station in Kudoyama Town with a farmers' market selling local produce and specialities, plus dining facilities. This area is known for persimmons, so just browsing the seasonal fruit and processed goods tells you a lot about local life. The grounds also include a facility introducing information about the World Heritage sites, where you can confirm the connection with Jisonin Temple (慈尊院), visited that morning. Being indoors and air-conditioned, it is just right as a rest stop to cool down after walking outside. Stocking up on drinks and snacks here for the afternoon water play is reassuring.
Tips
Please check opening hours and regular closing days on the official website in advance. The dining areas get crowded around noon on weekends and holidays, so shifting to the second half of the 11 o'clock hour makes it easier to get a seat. Seseragi Park is a short drive away. The fruit at the farmers' market can run low as the day goes on, so we recommend finishing your shopping first.
Best time to visit
About 1 hour. To avoid crowds, arriving before noon is more comfortable.
