About a 7-minute walk from Hase Station, Kotoku-in Temple is known for the National Treasure Kamakura Great Buddha. You can pay an additional fee to enter the Great Buddha's interior—a thrilling adventure for children. The approach path is lined with casual food vendors and souvenir shops, making the journey enjoyable both ways.

Tips

The stairs inside the Great Buddha are steep, so a baby carrier is reassuring for small children. The temple grounds are flat and accessible by stroller. The path from Hase Station is crowded, so hold hands while walking.
