A roadside station in Kudoyama Town with a farmers' market selling local produce and specialities, plus dining facilities. This area is known for persimmons, so just browsing the seasonal fruit and processed goods tells you a lot about local life. The grounds also include a facility introducing information about the World Heritage sites, where you can confirm the connection with Jisonin Temple (慈尊院), visited that morning. Being indoors and air-conditioned, it is just right as a rest stop to cool down after walking outside. Stocking up on drinks and snacks here for the afternoon water play is reassuring.

橋本市高野口町名倉にある「せせらぎ公園噴水・流水」は、江戸時代に造られた小田井用水路の上部を有効利用して整備された親水公園です。ふだんは水路の上を歩ける散策路として使われていますが、橋本市公式は「毎年8月には、噴水や流水を行い、一時の涼を楽しめます」と紹介しており、夏には水の音とともに涼しさを味わえる場所になります。あずまや、ベンチ、トイレが整っているので、小さな子連れでも休憩をはさみながらゆっくり過ごせます。料金は無料なので、夕方に少しだけ涼みに立ち寄るという使い方もできます。用水路という土木の遺産がそのまま遊び場になっているという成り立ちも、この公園ならではの見どころです。

The dining areas get crowded around noon on weekends and holidays, so shifting to the second half of the 11 o'clock hour makes it easier to get a seat. Seseragi Park is a short drive away. The fruit at the farmers' market can run low as the day goes on, so we recommend finishing your shopping first.
