About this spot

A park on the hills in the northeastern part of Gifu City, with a vast lawn and pastures. Besides watching horses and cattle over the fences, it has playground areas and walking paths, on a scale that lets a family spend half a day here. The park paths have only gentle slopes, so even small children can walk them easily. There is shade on the lawn, making it an easy park for spreading out a packed lunch. Playing just enough to save some energy for the afternoon water play is about the right pace.

岐阜市岩地区の岩田西公園(岩田西1丁目775)にある、無料で利用できる水遊び場「岩田西公園徒渉池(児童用プール)」です。2026年は7月22日から8月22日までのうち計23日間、13時から16時まで開設されます。水深が浅いので、まだ泳げない小さな子どもでも自分の足で歩きながら水に親しめます。対象は原則として小学3年生以下で、未就学児は保護者同伴、おむつのとれない幼児は利用できません。開設日は岐阜市の日程表のとおりで、悪天候のときは赤旗が掲げられて中止になります。午前に眺めた長良川とは違い、こちらは足をひたして遊べる浅い水の世界です。

Tips

利用は無料です。当日の実施可否は現地の旗で確認できます(赤旗は中止の合図)。水着を服の下に着ていくと着替えが簡単になります。日陰が限られるため、レジャーシートと多めの飲み物を持参してください。16時終了なので、15時45分ごろには片づけを始めましょう。

Tips

Admission is free and there is a parking lot on site. Opening hours and the conditions for each facility may change, so check the official website before you go. Some open areas have little shade, so a hat and drinks are essential. Rather than counting on a shop, bring lunch and snacks with you to be safe.
